At first I couldn't sleep, then I couldn't eat. I felt hopeless and I just couldn't cope and then I just lost all perspective on things. You know, you become crazy. I had done a story for 60 Minutes on depression but I had no idea that I was now experiencing it. Finally, I collapsed and just went to bed" (Source: CBS Cares interview below).

sandelf! the kurds indeed depended on the shah(may rest in peace). Unfortunately he sold us out to Saddam in 1975This was pity! Because we, the kurds and persians belong to the same family of nations and of languages the shah also hanged our leader Qadhi Mohammed in Mahabad in 1947-1948. As to the mullahs you are right! but the mullahs destroyed everything in Iran and no one escaped their atrocities!I think democracy and national rights for the nations in Iran can be the solution.Too late !

3azzuz08: you're right about all the things that u said but kurds, he never killed nor oppressed kurds, when sadam was killing and deporting kurds he gave them sanctuary, kurds were very loyal to Iran and him, when mullas cane to power kurds were th 1st to uprise against khomaini and he bombed the hell out of them

The shah was a victim of his era. The cold war stopped him from taken the right decisions! he fell as a direct result of not knowing the difference between foreign policy and internal policy.if he submitted to peoples wish for human rights and national rights things would have been different. killing and opressing the kurds in Iran: what benefitet Iran as a society?!That applies to other nations and religious varity.Only leaders who respects their nations last forever as a hero.the shah is not
