ok, now how would you make it so it always does multiplication, so whatever they punch in and then hit "equals" it will multiply the numbers?

For the answer, you could just use one variable, right? You don't need a plusResult, minusResult, etc, since it's all just the answer. That would also make it more efficient (completely unnoticeably in a program this small, of course), right?

nah, we don't... the quality goes down as the file gets larger. But we do get to put videos on as long as we want.

Thanks very much for the video. Following this tutorial was my first time using flash...probably a little much for my first exposure to the app, but I do feel that I learned a lot about the program. Thanks again. I'll look forward to checking out more of your videos.

what I'm actualy trying to do is to calculate a value by doing various operations from a single input (28.7 * myinputVar - 46.7). Now I´m already done with that part and it works just fine. What I really need to do is this: Check that the user has made an actual input before doing the math and restrict the input within this range of 4.5 to 20. How do we do this in AS3?
cruzrincon (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
What if we leave some of the input boxes in blank. We would probably run in to an error. Am I correct?. Then, how do we test in this case if the user has filled all the input boxes before proceding to do the math stuff and at the same time, provide some kind of feedback for the user. You did a great job by doing just that with the operator symbol. But what about the numbers we are suppose to add, substract or whatever?. forget my bad english

Cooool!!! This is better than HBO! Keep the AS3 coming! Your Dreamweaver VIDs are awsome too! This is addicting.
