Godzilla is the most epic movie monster of all time period. Hands down. It's too bad the creature from the lagoon didn't make it though.

i dont disagree that those wernt all good monsters, but i personally fell in love with the cloverfield monster, just due to the directors amazing build of suspense and mystery by allowing only small snippets of the monster to be seen throughout the movie until the very end when its very size and sheer power can be witnessed, and just the fact that the intro hints that the monster is still alive and was never stopped, makes me wanna see the sequel even more

I'm sorry, as a Godzilla fan...I must say that the *&(@#$ ape doesn't have anything on The King of the Monster.

Godzilla should be number one...

I liked the Plant Monster from Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. It's CGI, but it's cool.

A battleship...Yeah, because battleships are so similar to giant, toothed vultures, it's just uncanny!*rolls eyes*

So, I see you completely missed his use of sarcasm when revealing his "#1" movie monster.

The thing is the movie was more focused on the people surviving a monster attack than the monster itself. Most movies have the hero or Army trying to stop it with some sort of plan and some insight on the monster. All we know about it is that it is there.
