What would happen if you didn't import the mouse events? Everything seems to work fine when I don't do that certain step.

cool but too late men, i saw blakes tutorial and pammm it worked , so thanks anyways, and yeah your right about that, man I'm telling you about some of these users we have now a days do'nt know jack about anything..........lol

Yeah that'll work, but the user will have to click on the text, meaning that the click won't register if the user clicks on the space inbetween the letters.
stargazerfreak (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
so i think i know where i went wrong, can you still the same code or will you get the same outcome if your button is made out of just pure text turned in a button

I just found out about the difference between as2 to as3 in cs 3. this is my following code and nothing happens my thing doesnt do anything, not too sure if the code is right iether...import flash.events.MouseEvent;//---BUTTON PROPERTY CHANGE---\\N_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,rClick);function rClick(event:MouseEvent):void{N_btn.alpha-=0.1;}
superken111 (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
It seems fine, you said Rclick as opposed to rClick but it shouldn't make a difference as you made and called the function in the same format. Check your instance names, maybe its not exactly been named R_btn?
