Duane Allman and Eric Clapton playing together was the best combination ever -- nothing before or since has even been close. The second part of the studio version is a work of art, a gift to history. Jim Gordon on drums was about as good it gets, but Phil Collins is right up there with the best.

I totally agree with you, the unplugged version is really really beautiful,"melodic", but this version is really the best, it's the real Layla for me ^^

i know, now i do like the unplugged but anytime i watch it people always say how much better it is then the electric, they are wrong this is the best version ever
