The mommy slinks up the to kitten so as not to draw attention to herself. She sniffs to see if it is okay, then looks around for danger. The baby doesn't even look at her, he knows she's there and hides under her throat. Then when she decides it's safe to move the baby, she picks it up by the scruff of the neck and off they go, back to the den.
