You know, not EVERY jazz performance has to be virtuosic and busy. Keep in mind this is a pretty intimate setting with no bass or percussion. More often than not, less is more. The recording isn't great, but how do you justify your comments? A blaine vocalist would've sung the head without any deviation from the original melody and rhythm. Hardly the case here. And by def., (1st + last triplet figure), Matt definitely does that here. (Not every tunes needs to be swung either).mudy: fail.

He may have his doctorate but his playing is so boring!Ug. He doesn't know how to swing. The vocalist is blaine. They both are like robots. He needs to jam more and loosen up!

Haha, there's my teacher. Matt teaches at Western Illinois. Great player, great musician. :-)

Matt is amazing , he went to this school back in the day, he comes back now and then with his wife and plays for the kids. I have a very cheap camera.
