This is my continueing effort in the restoration of the original Banana Splits Intro. Unfortunatly there are a few problems that I have to deal with.1. First, the Picture quality is only in fair condition. Not much I can do about it, untill someone uploads a good quality clip. However, I did manage to improve on some of its Color.2. The second problem we all notice is that there are some missing Lyrics in the audio track. This problem is easy to fix as all you need is a good MP3 file of the Tra-La-La-song.3. Next, I noticed that the Audio and Vidio Tracks do not line up correctly. That is because there are at least Two Scenes missing from the AVI or MPEG that is currently available. In order to correct this problem, I have inserted a couple of scenes from two other video clips.3a. You will notice that I have inserted the (Arial View of Kings Island); at the beginning of the Intro; which was taken from today's buchered Banana Splits & Friends intro. By using a double fade-in I was able to correct this problem,4. Next, halfway into the intro, I noticed that the audio and SFX were running over 1 second behind. That's because another scene has been ommitted.4a. At 43+ Sec. in you will notice that there is a scene with scrolling words on it. I have inserted what I believe is the missisg link to this intro: (Log Flume boat rounding a Curve).4b. So I had to use a clip from the Closing Credits, which contained this scene; As I remember seeing a scene simmular to this which accured just before the Coaster scene.5. The inserted clip is axactly the correct length; as the SFX are now properly in Sync. You may also notice that some of the SFXs are slightly different than the originals. That's because I could not find all of the matching sounds.6. Finaly you will notice that the color changes slightly at the end of the intro. This is because I had to attach an alterate ending. As the complete ending was only available from the Portugese version of this intro.Have FUN... And may the Banana Bunch be with You!

Congratulations 2U. This video brings back good old times. I used to watch it every day. During the program they also played other series, too. I remember the story of an island with some people trying to escape from headhunters, moving from tree to tree like Tarzan, or something like that.Anuway, The NBanana Splits were gorgeous.

It was mainly shot in San Francisco but the amusement park scenes were filmed at Six Flags Over Texas and Coney Island, Brooklyn.

The amusement park scenes were filmed at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas between Ft. Worth and Dallas.

The amusement park sequences were filmed at Coney Island amusement park in Cincinnati, Ohio. I lived there in the 1960s and watched this then. I recognize many of the rides. The park closed in the 70s due to repeated flooding of the Ohio river, but they have since re-opened it. I don't know if it's like it used to be - I loved going there.
